You know what day it is?

Yes! It’s

oscar noms

Oscar noms day and we’re here to bring you the full list of nominations.

Front runners include Todd Haynes’ Carol, Alejandro González Iñárritu’s searing survival thriller The Revenant, Boyle’s Jobs and John Crowley’s lovesick Brooklyn. But, as was true last year, there are no obvious choices here.

Are we to expect Sir Eddie of Redmayne to follow last year’s awards triumph with a win for The Danish Girl? Will Steven Spielberg have to hammer up a new shelf for yet another goldman statue for Bridge of Spies (Mark Rylance is a shoe-in for Best Supporting Actor)? Will Cate Blanchett fly up to the stage, harnass the small, bald man and become Hollywood Galadriel with projector lights streaming from her eyes, tearing the sanity of those present to shreds, causing them to bow before her in fear and wonder?

It’s hard to tell. Indeed…

2016-oscars-whoThe ceremony will take place at The Dolby Theater in Hollywood, on the 28th of February and we will be in the hands of Chris Rock, returning after ten years to host his second backslap bonanza.

See you there?

Here are the full list of nominations for the 88th Academy Awards.
