Each year there is one night on which HeyUGuys goes all out. Throughout the year we attend premieres, set visits and junkets all over the world and it’s a pleasure and privilege to bring you those interviews and reports. And yet there is one night we always look forward to more than any other – tonight – BIFA night.
The British independent Film Awards is the perfect celebration of the films which lie closest to our heart. The films which are brushed by the media spotlight rather than blinded by its glare. It is a night of celebration of cinema, rather than celebrity.
Yorgos Lanthimos’ The Lobster, Andrew Haigh’s 45 Years and Justin Kurzel’s adaptation of Macbeth are all well represented here, and they garner as much attention as Asif Kapadia’s heartbreaking documentary of Amy Winehouse and Alex Garland’s Ex Machina. It’s a night to immerse yourself in a warm pool of cinematic excellence.
This year Cassam Looch and Editor Dave Sztypuljak were on the red carpet to interview the guests, we will be adding interviews throughout the evening and
