2014-Oscars-Poster-sliceBack in August, Ellen DeGeneres announced that she would be returning to host the 2014 Oscars, marking her second time in the role after hosting the celebrated awards ceremony back in 2007.

With just days to go before this year’s nominations are announced, the Academy has released the official poster for the ceremony, with DeGeneres front and centre, alongside the eponymous statuette, itself.

After a little retweet from none other than Justin Timberlake, DeGeneres added a great little follow-up that I just couldn’t help but share.

I be on my suit & tie RT @jtimberlake “@TheEllenShow: I’m gonna host the Oscars pic.twitter.com/dpwGkC2TdH” You’re gonna CRUSH IT! Not literally

Seth MacFarlane did a brilliant job hosting the ceremony last year, and here’s to hoping that this year will be another great ceremony to go alongside the awards, themselves.

Following this morning’s BAFTA nominations announcement, the Oscar nominations will be announced next Thursday, 16th January.

The 2014 Oscars will be held on Sunday, 2nd March, airing live in the US on ABC at 7pm E / 4pm P, making that midnight here in the UK. It’s going to be another late night, but we wouldn’t miss it for the world. We’ll be bringing you the results as they’re announced on the night, and hope that you’ll join us.
