I think it’s time to admit that we could be in for a rather predictable documentary race this year…
CITIZENFOUR is primed to steamroll its competition, with Life Itself doing its best to pop up around the edges. But the Roger Ebert documentary was shut out this time around, leaving Laura Poitras’ Edward Snowden pic to take yet another prize.
Finding Vivian Maier and Last Days In Vietnam (both on the Oscar shortlist) are awarded for writing and editing, respectively, with Nick Urata (who scored Paddington, FYI) taking Best Music.
