The annual MOËT British Independent Film Awards is one of the most important dates in the British Film calendar, and tonight Old Billingsgate in central London plays host to the celebration.

While the BAFTAs will flick a torch in the vague direction of British film the BIFAs fixes an enormous spotlight on it.

Each year the nominations tell of a fantastic year in British film and 2014 is no exception. Matthew Warchus’s Pride is nominated in many categories, its charm and life bubbling up above the more sober period offerings such as The Imitation Game and Mr. Turner.

We want to see Frank goes down with this year’s Jury, likewise Yann Demange’s blistering ’71 and the powerful drama Calvary starring Brendan Gleeson.

The awards are streaming live below, and the nominations at under this video so you can keep up.

We are on the red carpet tonight and our interviews will be up on the site as soon as possible.

Enjoy.
