At last! It feels like we’ve been waiting forever for another preview of X-Men: Days of Future Past, especially as this year’s other big comic book movie sequels – Captain America: The Winter Soldier and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 – have really been showing off a lot of great footage lately in a bid to get fans really excited.
Thankfully, 20th Century Fox have finally released a new trailer for Bryan Singer’s “inbetweenquel” today, and it really delivers! As always, there are a lot of huge moments in this new preview, and we’ve singled out just ten of the most exciting, interesting and revealing moments for you to take a closer look at.
10. A Truly Apocalyptic Future
In the X-Men: Days of Future Past comic book, most of America has been ravaged by humanity’s quest to wipe out the mutant “threat”. Right from the beginning of the trailer, it’s clear that things won’t play out too differentely, as this city (New York?) has clearly been ravaged by the Sentinels and their quest to “Destroy All Mutants!” As if that wasn’t frightening enough, we also see literally hundreds of the robots being depoyed from above, making it obvious why the X-Men are resorting to sending Wolverine’s consciousness back in time to try and avoid this reality from ever happening. Of course, this also leads us to wonder who could be in cotrol of the Sentinels. We know from The Wolverine, that Trask Industries is still around, but what about Bolivar?
