Arrow has become one of the most popular superhero-themed shows on television, so it’s no real surprise that DC Comics will also be bringing Constantine, Gotham and The Flash to the small screen this Autumn too.

While those new shows all begin their first seasons, Arrow will be entering its third, and a new trailer was released during this weekend’s San Diego Comic-Con which gives us our first look at footage from the next run of episodes (if you missed that, you can check it out by clicking here).

Below, we’ve listed 10 of the biggest moments from the preview, including the debut of some major new DC Comics characters and a lot of big hints about where Arrow could be heading next.

Needless to say, there are spoilers here for season two of Arrow and even some potential ones for season three, so read on at your own risk and then be sure to let us know your thoughts in the usual place!

10. Ray Palmer

Ray Palmer

Ray Palmer is an unparalleled scientist and inventor who will play an unexpected role in the lives of Oliver and (rumoured love interest) Felicity as the new owner of Queen Consolidated in season three of Arrow, and his plans for the Applied Sciences Division will apparently be shrouded in mystery. In the comic books, he ends up coming a superhero known as The Atom, someone who has the ability to shrink down to a subatomic level. Seeing a character like this in the series seemed like an impossibility this time last year, but the introduction of The Flash means that we should begin to see more and more superpowered character making their way to Starling City. Arrow will mark The Atom’s live-action debut and former Superman Brandon Routh is a great casting choice.
