9. Green Lantern
2011’s Green Lantern was a terrible movie which should have been great, especially as Warner Bros. had Geoff Johns’ superb run to turn to for inspiration. The critical and financial failure of the movie could perhaps be blamed for why we haven’t seen more DC characters brought to the big screen over the past couple of years, but if the studio are planning on giving the character another chance, then they might be better off turning to Simon Baz rather than bringing back Hal Jordan. Wrongly accused of being a terrorist, the Lebanese-American Muslim is different to the other Earthbound Green Lantern’s as he dons a mask and wields a gun while attempting to clear his name. John Stewart may be a popular choice among fans, but Baz is infinitely more interesting.
