3. Martian Manhunter
J’onn J’onzz hails from Mars and is the sole surviving Martian from that planet. When he arrives on Earth (the reasons and means of which have been told in various ways over the years), he used his shape shifting powers to adopt a human-like appearance and started calling himself “John Jones.” He joined the police force, secretly using his alien powers to help the inhabitants of his new planet and would go on to serve as a core member of the Justice League of America. This may seem like an unusual choice of hero for a future movie, but Martian Manhunter is a fascinating character and proved to be very popular in the Justice League Unlimited animated series. A role like this would give Johnson the opportunity to play a regular human beat cop/detective and a larger than life superhero, giving him the best of both worlds!
